Research (Target Audience)

With the ChatPack we are targeting ages from anywhere as young as 14 to as old as 20. This age range seems appropriate because at 14 kids are beginning high school and will need help completing their heavy workload. And at 20 years old, students are near the end of their education and schoolwork which is why we won't target anyone older than around this age. We are targeting at a global scale and will be targeting people of all social classes.

Audience Survey:
80% of students claim that their workload starts to become overwhelming starting in 9th grade
65% of high school students struggle with anxiety and stress related issues
70% of students say that the ChatPack helps them improve their writing and grammar skills

Research (Commercial Project)

We are planning to make a 50 to 60 second commercial to endorse a backpack that completed a students work for them once it is placed inside it and taken out. As the editor and leader of post-production, I will ensure that the video is well made and has the appropriate camera angles and different types of lighting and such. I will ensure that the video isn't to short or too long and has a good amount of mis-en-scene that will make the audience interested. Research (Competitor Analysis)

 Some of the ChatPack's competitors would be name brand backpack brands like JanSport, North Face, etc. These backpacks are basic and are only useful for holding items like folders and papers. These brands use bland colors and simple designs for their products. On the other hand, The ChatPack will use unique designs and vibrant colors on the bags. Not only will this bag look appealing, but it isn't just an ordinary bag. it solves the homework you insert into it and helps you complete any assignment you need.   JanSport: A normal, boring, everyday backpack. Although it is durable and reliable, it is bland and plain. North Face: Although it is built for the outdoors and made uniquely, it only serves as a normal bag and has no high-tech features like the ChatPack.
